HOMEWORK HELP

Homework Overseeing.

Success in High school.

Sciences, AP courses, Math, SATs and College admissions are just a few things that an average high school student will encounter. High school – is it just the last of three parts of initial schooling our children go through or is it a beginning of future education and career development?  Surely it is the latter. This is a time when students will meet their first true competitors, handle a difficult study course and finally prepare for college admissions.

Superior performance in high school could very often translate into a future academic excellence through development of good study habits that are indispensable for  educational achievement.

Many students will discover that they are not ready to cope with college coursework. The subjects become harder, but this is not the main problem. Many students get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of material to be studied.  Those who have good study habits will manage the transition easier and show better results than students with poor study habits.

Home work assistance program.

“Home work assistance program” not only helps students to successfully overcome some of the obstacles they face in high school, but also helps to discover better study habits.  The ultimate goal is to make students self-sufficient and change their attitudes towards learning.

Some of the specific skills we work on are organizing, prioritizing, scheduling and finding motivation.

We know how much you have invested in the education of your children. However just like with any other endeavor – it is necessary to establish a veritable foundation.  Such foundation and an underling premise is the ability of a student to organize and complete school assignments on time and efficiently.

How students benefit from the program.

Despite being in school for years on end, students are taught everything but the way to organize and do their home work efficiently. Typical curriculum and school schedule persuade students to take a “check mark” approach to Home Work. For many “Home Work” has become a dirty word, rather then a meaningful part of competing and succeeding.

We are not inviting students to necessarily study more, but rather to study more efficiently. We encourage students to examine their daily schedule, to create clear priorities, to marshal their strengths and to muster their abilities.

The program focuses on the following skills:

  • Prioritizing
  • Organizing a project
  • Scheduling
  • Active Problem solving
  • Communication with teachers
  • Reading efficiently
  • Memorizing
  • Note taking

Many students are initially resistant to the idea, but feel grateful as time goes by. Their attitude quickly changes as they get a sense of ease and accomplishment, and realize that they can spend more time on the things they like.

So call us today to find out more about our home work assistance program.
